So much has been going on, it’s been crazy. On the 2nd my DH and I went to his bosses house (they’ve been friends for 10 years, wonderful people) and went out on the pontoon boat, had hot dogs on the lake, lots of fun. We went back to their house b/c I wanted to borrow their tent, the boys go upstairs to fetch, and she starts telling me about Alan’s current work performance. He has a tendency to just give up about once a year and needs a pep-talk, so that was a 45 minute argument all the way home. His bosses aren’t the kind of people to hand out praise, mostly they pick on each other (and everyone) and use lots of sarcasm, and DH starts feeling like nothing he does is ever good enough, and then I have to tell him how wonderful he is and kick him in the butt.

On the 5th I went up to Denton, that’s a 4 hour drive… yuck! OB’s wedding was beautiful, and highly stressful. I’m so glad Alan & I just left and got married. No family, friends, or bossy in laws. =) And especially no 3 year olds who didn’t understand the position of flower girl. (no, you have to shutthefuckupandwalkbyyourself )

Work… sucks ass. I was totally freaking out about today (Monday = horrible day + down 2 people with Brit on vacation) But everything actually went smoothly. Wow. I’m soooo irritated that Brit is SDS. She won’t follow up on anything, and if I let her fall on her ass, customers will get pissy, and I don’t like giving bad customer service just b/c she won’t do her job. So I am making copies of every little mistake she makes and turning them in to the Ops manager, who, thank the goddess, thinks I walk on water. I don’t know that it will ever be enough to get her fired/demoted over but at least one person is aware of the situation that I have to deal with every day. And it irritates the crap out of me that Brit calls me “her right hand girl” Bitch please… Don’t make me kill you. I’m not here to help you, I don’t get paid to be your back up. I’m here to do my job and I do it to the best of my ability. Almost everyone in the store would rather work with me than anyone else at the desk, because I may not be in a good mood all the time, but I know my job better than anyone else up there with the exception of Jenny, and if she’s in a good mood, the sky is a funny shade of purple. (and technically she doesn’t work at the desk anyways.)

The HRM is supposed to be hiring us some new people, but there aren’t that many out there that can work the desk, so god only knows if we’ll find anyone worth a damn. Ugh.

Oh, and update on my neighbors: DH called Houston SPCA on them (thanks Willow) and they are filing a report… so keep an eye out on Animal Planet’s Houston Animal Cops and my dogs may be barking at the camera from our yard… lol
